The grand conclusion of Lord Venkateswara's Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Chakrasnanam, was held with utmost devotion on Tuesday morning. Sri Sudarsana Chakrattalwar was given a holy bath in the Swami's pushkarini (temple pond), while thousands of devotees took holy dips in the pushkarini and experienced a profound spiritual feeling.

Grand Palliaki Utsavam:

Prior to the Chakrasnanam, the Palliaki Utsavam of the Lord was conducted from 3 AM to 6 AM in the early hours. Later, from 6 AM to 8:30 AM, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed in a traditional manner for Sri Malayappa Swami flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi, along with Sri Sudarsana Chakrattalwar at the main mandapam of Sri Bhu Varahaswami temple.

Snapana Tirumanjanam Amidst Vedic Mantras:

The Lord and Goddesses were anointed with milk, honey, coconut water, turmeric, and sandalwood paste. Shankhanidhi, Padmanidhi, Sahasradhara, and Kumbhadharana were used in this sacred ritual performed according to Vaikhanasa Agama. TTD Vedic pundits chanted Upanishad mantras, Dashashanti mantras, Purusha Suktam, Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Neela Suktam, and Vishnu Suktam. Following this, the Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swami and Chinna Jeeyar Swami recited Pasurams. Unique flower garlands were adorned to the Lord and Goddesses.

Sacred Avabhritha Snanam for World Welfare:

Chakrasnanam is the sacred event that brings completion to the nine-day Brahmotsavams. This Avabhritha snanam is performed with the aspiration that the entire world should flourish, people should live with peace and happiness, and all living beings should be blessed. Brahmotsavams are considered equivalent to a Maha Yagnam. Similar to the Avabhritha snanam performed at the conclusion of a Yagnam, conducting Chakrasnanam at the end of Brahmotsavams is a tradition. Prayers are offered on this occasion for the welfare of all worlds and to attain the full fruits of the rituals.

Sanctity of Pushkarini Waters Through Sudarsana Chakra Touch:

After performing Snapana Tirumanjanam to Sri Malayappa Swami along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, Sri Sudarsana Chakrattalwar was immersed in the sacred pushkarini waters for Chakrasnanam. At the same moment, devotees took holy dips in the pushkarini. Devotees believe that those who witness this divine event and participate in the Brahmotsavams will receive the grace of the Lord and the merit of the ritual Yagnam.

With the Chakrasnanam held amidst devotion and Vedic mantras, the annual Brahmotsavams of Srivari concluded grandly. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, EO Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD board members Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Panabaka Lakshmi, Dollar Diwakar Reddy, Naresh Kumar, Nannapaneni Sadashiva Rao, Jasti Purna Sambasiva Rao, Ananda Sai, JEO (H&E) Gopinath, CVSV Muraleekrishna, District SP L.
